Membership Options

All memberships are based on a calendar year.

Memberships begin in February and end in December (unless renewed for the following year.)

The Toy Library is closed over School Holiday periods.

All memberships purchased from July are half price (excluding Concession Memberships).

Our Toy Library is entirely run by volunteers and we’re so thankful for all who support us by volunteering their time and skills.

Roster Memberships are very affordable and in exchange, Roster Members are required to volunteer for approximately 2.5 hours, once per term, on either a Tuesday, or Saturday morning from 9:30-11:45am, or on a Wednesday afternoon from 3:00-5:30pm.

Roster Plus Memberships in addition to their four volunteer shifts each year elect to volunteer to assist with one “Behind-the-Scenes” task, for 2 hours once per year. 

Behind-the-Scenes Tasks are flexible, regularly scheduled sessions that include Toy Maintenance, Weekly Cleans and Yard Maintenance. Members are required to self-nominate to assist at one Behind-the-Scenes task per year through SETLS. See below for a brief overview of each Behind-the-Scenes Task:

Maintenance Shifts are held once per term. Participants work side by side with the committee to maintain the toy catalogue, counting, cleaning and re-labelling toys to ensure every toy is maintained to a high standard. Check the calendar to see the date for our next Maintenance Shift.

Weekly Cleans are completed by a member once a week at any time that suits the nominee. Members access the building after hours to complete a deep clean of the inside of the Toy Library using this checklist. 

Monthly Yard Maintenance includes mowing the lawn, removing weeks, clearing cobwebs and removing any litter. We will need you to supply your own lawn mower if you take on this task. A checklist of tasks can be found here.

Non-Roster Membersips

The Toy Library cannot operate without Roster Members and as such Non-roster memberships are currently only available to 2023 Members. However, if you would like to be considered for a Special Conditions Non-Roster Membership, please email us.
